Peter Kowey, MD FACC
Professor of Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology, Jefferson Medical College Chief, Division of Cardiovascular Diseases, Main Line Health System The William Wikoff Smith Chair in Cardiovascular Research, Lankenau Hospital and Medical Research Center Wynnewood, PADr. Kowey is an internationally respected expert in heart rhythm disorders. After college at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, he attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and trained in cardiology at Harvard. For the past thirty-one years, he
has developed a large referral practice in the Philadelphia region, caring for thousand of patients with various cardiac rhythm problems while teaching and mentoring countless medical students, residents, fellows, and physicians in practice.
Dr. Kowey’s research has led to the development of dozens of new drugs and devices for treating a wide range of cardiac diseases. He authored hundreds of scientific articles and textbook chapters before embarking on his first work of fiction, the widely praised Lethal Rhythm, published in 2010.
Dr. Kowey and his wife, Dorothy, have three daughters and six grandchildren. Their permanent residence is in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, but they spend time throughout the year with their Portuguese water dogs at their lake house in the Pocono Mountains.

Schnabel, Jr. of “It’s Your Body, Know What the Doctor Ordered,” and author of “Philadelphia World Class!,” she has contributed to USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, Town & Country, Architectural Digest, Travel & Leisure, Forbes, and Vogue. She is a contributing editor of Coastal Living magazine and Entrée magazine. Ms. Fox is a trustee of The Lankenau Hospital Foundation and The Franklin Institute Bower Awards Committee.
